Sam's First Day of School

Samuel's first day of school today. He starts Pre-PreSchool and is supposed to wait until he's 2 like Jacob did but the new term is starting so a month before his 2nd birthday he was off for the big adventure!! He was pretty excited to get into his own uniform just like his big brother and to finally not be left behind when Jacob went to school. He handled the day well given that he is getting used to a new environment, all the kids, and an 8.30 to 11AM schedule change. Jacob was a great big brother looking after Samuel even though they are in different classes. Some picts before leaving and during playtime after the big day!!

Muddy Football

The boys are at it again for Saturday football. It's the rainy season so mud is pretty much everywhere. Post match ritual is sit in the back of the car, get a drink, get your sports towel, shoes off, and climb over the back seats into the car to head home for football player brunch at home. Jacob says he's in the 'match' and Sam is on the side but not for long. Sam turns 2 in April and is itching to 'Get in the Game!!'

Meeting Pele in Singapore

My mate Ian's takeover of the Young Lions marketing and Courts sponsorship was always going to bring some fun to the s-league games but I never expected that I would be meeting Pele. Tonight as I arrived at the stadium for the game we went into a small VIP room and there he was along with Cobi Jones (164 US national team caps) and Eric Cantona. I was excited like a kid on Xmas day to be honest. They're in town promoting the upcoming New York Cosmos return to the MLS in 2013 and were jet lagged as the group had just arrived from the US the morning before. You wouldn't know it as Pele was all smiles, greeting everyone, taking photos with kids. He never once looked like he wasn't truly enjoying it all. I took the chance while Pele and Cantona were being mobbed to say hello to Cobi Jones and hear about the Cosmos plans as well as get a picture with the Team USA legend. Suddenly Christina worked her magic and grabbed me through the crowd to sit down with Pele for a chat like we were having tea in our living room. Meeting Pele who's an amazing personality and true global icon face to face was once in a lifetime stuff. They have another event on Saturday and I might try to get the boys over for a photo!!
